Chapter 9 - New Path

Am I the only one whose New Years Resolutions feel like old friends? I almost laugh out loud when people ask about them. As if we don't all have the same resolutions every year. Some year I'm going to make an easy one, just so I know what it feels like to accomplish one of those things. No, its another year and I am once again resolved to:

Work on my writing. Obvs. Still falling victim to time and distractions.

Work on my journal. You know, that book that I wrote in three times last January and then forgot. In a way my journals are like time capsules of Januaries past.

Work on my booty. Time to get my sweat on.

I do have a new one for this year to add to the list.

I want to work on and expand my audiobook recording. It is something that I just started this fall and I now have two books recorded (the last is out for quality check at the moment, but the first one is on the marketplace and selling). I want to build up my social media, create a website and do more for self-promotion. Not to mention, record more books. I have another one in the pipeline, but I need to start auditioning so I have more work lined up.

The good thing about the audiobook recording is that it keeps me in the literary world. It keeps my own book ideas swirling in my head instead of discarded. So, I feel like it is a positive step.

All in all, I think this year might actually see some progress towards making these goals. (not the booty one. Let's be honest, I love cookies)

How about all of you? Do you guys also make your literary goals part of your resolutions? Or have details on how many calories are burned while writing a chapter? Maybe?
